We’re on the hunt for a Night Prep Chef to join our brilliant brigade, laying the foundations for the day ahead. If you enjoy our craft and spending time perfecting each detail in a quieter environment, this could be for you. You’ll be the one behind the scenes, ensuring everything is ready so the chefs can hit the ground running. From preparing simple garnishes to making terrines, curing meats and fish, nurturing stocks and sauces, and baking fresh breads, your work will shape the success of tomorrow’s service. You’ll keep the kitchen spotless, and organised. This role sets the pace and standard for everything that follows. This is a varied role, far from monotonous, where every shift makes a real impact.
The Ideal Candidate...
We’re looking for a Night Prep Chef who can hit the ground running and work on their own initiative. You’ll have solid experience working in fresh food-led establishment and be able to manage your time with a positive attitude. You’ll be confident and willing to share thoughtful and creative ideas to continuously improve our offering.
Sustainability is at the heart of The Headland. As part of your role, you will be expected to follow our sustainability policy and actively seek ways to minimise environmental impact. We also welcome any ideas you may have to enhance sustainability within your role and across the business.
Salary and Contract...
This is a permanent contract based on a 40-hour working week, over 5 days including weekends and bank holidays.
In line with UK Immigration and Employment Law, only applicants eligible to live and work in the UK need apply. Proof of ID will be required in the form of a Passport, National Identity Card or Birth Certificate.
