Description

The role.. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Headland, in the role of Goods Receiver. This role is physically active and involves regular manual handling tasks, including the movement and lifting of heavy items. Appropriate equipment such as trolleys and sack trucks are provided to support safe handling practices.

 What You'll Do…

  • Receive all goods by department and deliver to the correct areas.
  • Complete requisition forms, create PO’s and monitor pricing, as and when required.
  • Notify manager of low stock levels in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the heart of house teams and Exec Chef on in all aspects of food storage.
  • Sign off all food deliveries, checking quality and quantities are correct.
  • Refuse any damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
  • Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.
  • Organise, clean, and sanitise all individual outlet food delivery areas.
  • Organise, clean, and sanitise walk-in fridges and dry storage areas.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and rubbish and place in proper storage areas
  • Maintain stock rotation, ensuring walk in freezer, fridge and dry store areas are presentable at all times

What you will bring…

  • Passionate and enthusiastic individual with a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Previous experience working within kitchens or hotels is preferred, but not essential

Salary and contract...

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours a week over 5 days. The successful candidate will be expected to work early mornings, during weekdays, weekends and bank holiday. 

In line with UK Immigration and Employment Law, only applicants eligible to live and work in the UK need apply. Proof of ID will be required in the form of a Passport, National Identity Card or Birth Certificate.
