The Role: Sales and Events Manager 

The Restaurant: Klosterhaus 

The Location: The Friary Bldg, Quakers Friars, Broadmead, Bristol BS1 3DF

The Salary: Competitive Salary + Bonus

Situated in Cabot Circus, Klosterhaus is our first restaurant in Bristol, set within the beautiful Grade 1 listed Quakers Friars building. Guests can expect a dining room that celebrates the grand cafés of central Europe; a bar serving classic and modern cocktails (a design we think oozes glamour), plus an array of event spaces and outdoor terraces.

Call this your ‘Haus away from Home’. There are so many reasons to visit, be it morning coffee or lunches, brunches, a post-shopping light bite, a sophisticated dinner in the restaurant or a 5pm cocktail (or two!).

The menu is broad-ranging, featuring some German classics – all of which are complimented by an eclectic wine and beer menu of household to less discovered names.


At D&D London we are passionate about all thing’s food and drink. We strive to deliver quality in everything we do, each time we do it. With 45 diverse venues across 7 cities including London, New York and Paris - there is a restaurant for every occasion. Each of our sites pride themselves on the unique designs, the freshest produce and the most exclusive settings. Founded in 2006 by Des Gunewardena and David Loewi, our eponymous D and D, the mission has always been the same, to provide each and every guest with a luxury experience when stepping foot into our restaurants and hotel. Through the years we have paved the way in the luxury dining scene, acquiring some of the most iconic venues in London and beyond, venues such as Bluebird Chelsea, 100 Wardour St, Quaglino’s, 20 Stories and our South Place Hotel. With further expansion across the group planned in the upcoming years, this list of top destinations is only set to grow!


A bit about what you will be doing:


Based onsite, reporting to Head Office

                                                          

Job Purpose Statement:

·     This role will be managing all inbound events enquiries

·     Responsible for handling and managing private dining, group bookings, events and exclusive hires.

·     Deliver targeted revenue, creatively engage with clients and prospects and deliver to quality standards.

·     Contribute to the delivery of venue sales strategy.

         

Job Accountabilities:

 

Revenue Generation

 

·     Maximise all revenue opportunities for Klosterhaus from PDR, exclusive hires and group bookings

·     Ensure all enquiries (PDR, groups and exclusive hires) are handled in accordance with agreed standards to maximize conversion

·     Use suggestive selling to influence the average spend

·     Solicit feedback from clients by following up key events in order to enhance customer experience

·     Review conversion rates and set plans for improvements

·     Source, research and proactively contact new business prospects through most appropriate channel.

·     Manage show rounds for clients and agents

·     Suggest and develop tactical sales initiatives including: hosting client (corporate and agent) events; promotions, incentives. 

·     Build long term relationships with clients to secure repeat business.

·     Target Social business (Parties, Weddings and Bar mitzvah).

·     Develop and maintain the Salesforce database

·     Maintain and report spend levels on a monthly basis

·     Attend and work on events as requested.

 

Key Objectives

 

·     Respond to all enquiries within 2 hours for all PDR, Restaurant Groups and   Exclusive hires.

·     Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual events targets

·     Follow up all provisional bookings within set guidelines.

·     Achieve conversion of a minimum of 30%.

 

Job Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

 

·     Proactive and enthusiastic, seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience

·     Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

·     Inbound telephone call handling experience.

·     Knowledge of restaurant industry or event industry.

·     Rational problem solver and able be to adjust to change.

·     Able to work under pressure.

·     Competent in the use of word and excel.

·     Flexible attitude.
