Celebrating our second anniversary, The BoTree has been awarded the prestigious title of Conde Nast Best New Hotel 2025. Nestled between Marylebone and Mayfair, our luxury hotel boasts 199 stunning guest rooms, including 29 suites, the renowned LAVO Italian restaurant, two unique bars, an exclusive nightlife event space, a private screening room, and a wellness centre.

We are now seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Breakfast Commis Chef with a passion for Italian cuisine to join our talented Kitchen team. This role is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow while supporting the delivery of exceptional dining experiences across brunch, à la carte service, in-room dining, and special events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes under the guidance of senior chefs, with a focus on authentic Italian flavours and presentation.
  • Support in the delivery of menus for breakfast service, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards in all tasks.
  • Ensure correct storage, rotation, and labelling of ingredients to minimise waste.
  • Take part in learning opportunities, including training in Italian culinary techniques and menu development.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
  • Assist with mise en place and setting up for the following day’s service.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage – a strong passion for cooking and willingness to learn is key.
  • A genuine interest in Italian cuisine and a desire to develop culinary skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Enthusiasm, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
