Job description

The Line Cook is the unsung hero of this show we call BBQ. This position is unique in that you get an hourly wage PLUS TIPS!

Responsibilities include: 

  • Assist with smoked meat preparation, inventory, receiving, and storage of food and supply products. 
  • Be responsible for the operation of all HOH stations as directed by the Pit Boss. 
  • Smoking meats under the direction of the Pit Boss 
  • Preparing food items to order
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours 
  • Follow standard recipes and special diet orders 
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently 
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes 
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances 
  • This position is an evening position, but you must be flexible and willing to work weekends and possibly holidays.
Job Requirement 
  • High School graduate or equivalent 
  • Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields 
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques 
  • Proficient knife skills 
  • ServSafe Certified (we will provide training if needed) 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to work well in teams
Physical Demands: 
  • We need you to be able to safely lift bags, cases, or stacks weighing up to 25lbs. There may be some tasks that require bending and reaching as well. 
  • We need you to be able to stand for long periods of time and at times. 
  • The noise level at times can be moderate.
