Job description

LDV Hospitality is in search of an experienced and enthusiastic Reservationist to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a team player who is passionate about delivering an exceptional experience to every guest. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who has a strong work ethic and strong communication skills (written and verbal). This position will work out of our corporate office in Chelsea. This is a temporary position.


Essential Functions:

• Complete opening side work checklist for shift daily
• Answer guest phone calls and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to guest questions
• Provide accurate information on multiple restaurant brands and clearly communicate menu offerings and ambience
• Call to confirm reservations, as applicable, prior to each shift
• Make reservations for guests, offering alternatives when the desired time is not available
• Manage flow of reservations for each shift to ensure optimal seating pattern and service
• Complete closing side work checklist for shift daily
• Update knowledge and skills by participating in staff training opportunities
• Maintain general knowledge of restaurant concepts, location, transportation, management team, etc.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

• Able to lift 30+ lbs.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Polished and hospitable communication skills in both written and verbal
• Attentive to detail
• Able to work with a strong sense of urgency
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
• Able to follow instructions explicitly
• Able to sit, walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
• Able to perform essential job functions when working under stress, in fast-paced environment

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 6+ months’ experience as Host/Reservationist for similar caliber concept in New York City
• Experiences and knowledgeable with Seven Rooms and Open Table

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED preferred
