Description

We are looking for a Food Runner Busser Support to join our team and facilitate collaboration between our eateries and guests. Will be providing friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful service of food and beverage in accordance with established quality and time standards. Deliver hot, freshly prepared food to guests by demonstrating outstanding energy and urgency.

Responsibilities include setting & cleaning tables, serving food orders, and removing used dishes and utensils. Maintain a high awareness of cleanliness in the Hall, not only at the tables, but throughout its entirety. Support all team members by delivering correct food orders to guests. Assist in any special cleaning projects, including repair maintenance.

To be considered for this role, you should be available to work various shifts, including weekends. Ultimately, you will ensure our guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner while guaranteeing our daily operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food orders from the eateries to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately.
  • Act as the contact point between eateries & guests
  • Communicate food orders with both eateries & during table delivery.
  • Paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies) to guarantee ticket accuracy
  • Retrieving and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
  • Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
  • Remove dirty dishes and utensils.
  • Prepare dining areas by cleaning and resetting tables before & after guests leave.
  • Assist guests with questions about menu items.
  • Continue to scan the Hall for opportunities to clean and sanitize all common areas for guests.
  • Ensure restrooms are clean & stocked with appropriate items.
  • Collect, wash, & disperse food trays to eateries.
  • Ensure beverage stations are in operational order with syrup, lids, straws, and other beverage items.
  • Clean up spills, broken glassware, and attend to similar problems during service with minimal interruption to guest experience.
  • Inform management about guests’ feedback.
  • Maintain health and safety regulations at all eateries and dining areas.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work in proper uniform.
  • In addition, professional grooming standards must be met daily which includes professionally styled hair, limited jewelry, and natural make up (when applicable).
  • Assemble/dissemble workstation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness of station during shift; Stock and replenish, as needed. 
  • Report any issues with equipment immediately to supervisor.
  • Follow all checklists to perform all necessary tasks required for your position.
  • Be sure to follow all safety guidelines set out by the Hall. 

 

Requirements and skills

  • Experience as a Food Runner and Busser or similar entry-level role in a restaurant
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
  • Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours including maneuvering up and down stairs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain current required licenses and/or certifications for your location.
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Ability to read & speak fluent English.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus.
