We’re on the hunt for an ambitious Sous Chef to join our passionate kitchen team at The Lion & Unicorn, a vibrant pub in the heart of Kentish Town. Known for our seasonal British menu, cosy atmosphere, and dedication to great food and drink, we’re looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for creating exceptional dishes that keep guests coming back.

The Role: As our Sous Chef, you’ll play a pivotal role in running the kitchen alongside our Head Chef. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your skills, inspire the team, and contribute to developing exciting seasonal menus.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.

• Lead and motivate the team during busy services.

• Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.

• Contribute ideas for creative, seasonal dishes and menus.

• Manage stock, suppliers, and maintain kitchen efficiency.

• Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up.

• Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and modern British pub cuisine.

• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• A positive, can-do attitude and team spirit.

• Strong understanding of kitchen management, food safety, and allergen protocols.
