Our accommodation and fleet standards play a vital role in shaping first impressions, and we are looking for a practical and skilled Maintenance Team Member (Handyperson/Carpenter) to support the upkeep, repair and presentation of our caravans and lodges across the park.

About You

You’ll be a practical and hands-on individual with solid experience as a handyman, ideally with a carpentry or joinery bias.

You’ll take pride in completing repairs to a high standard and will be confident in fault finding, carrying out safe repairs and using a variety of power tools.

You’ll enjoy working both independently and as part of a wider team, supporting the maintenance and presentation of our caravans and lodges to ensure they are safe, functional and guest-ready.

You’ll be comfortable working across the park, both indoors and outdoors, and will have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.

As this is a guest-facing role at times, you’ll also be approachable, professional and represent Unity Holidays positively when interacting with Owners and Guests.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a handyman, with carpentry/joinery skills as a strength
• Ability to carry out general maintenance and repairs safely and effectively
• Confident in using power tools and completing fault finding tasks
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong awareness of health & safety and safe working practices
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• A team player who demonstrates kindness and collaboration

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work across caravans and lodges
• Complete carpentry and joinery tasks including repairs, adjustments and installations
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective, safe repairs in a timely manner
• Ensure all accommodation units are safe, functional and maintained to Unity Holidays’ standards
• Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and support planned maintenance activity
• Conduct routine checks and identify maintenance issues proactively
• Work across different areas of the park, both indoors and outdoors
• Use tools, equipment and PPE safely and in line with training (all provided)
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Interact professionally with Owners and Guests when required
• Report any major issues, hazards or recurring faults to the Maintenance leadership team
• Follow all health & safety procedures, COSHH guidance and company policies at all times
• Support wider teams where required to ensure smooth park operations

Hours of Work

This is a seasonal position running from February through to October.

Working pattern:
Friday, Monday & Tuesday — 08:00 to 16:30
