Food Quality Assurance Supervisor
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum plus Annual performance bonus and fantastic benefits



Our London Bakery


Our bakery is a brand- new department, catering to The Newt in Somerset's London Ecommerce business. We are always focused on creating fresh bakery and pastry products of the highest quality.



The role 

You will be responsible for ensuring our products meet set standards of quality, reliability and performance to ensure they meet customer expectations. You will also be key in establishing procedures and processes for sampling, recording and reporting of data. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Establish quality procedures, standards, and specifications for a company
  • Collaborate with an organization’s purchasing manager to ensure raw materials from external suppliers meet quality requirements
  • Review existing process and product specification to identify the need for improvement or upgrade
  • Prepare and present reports to update upper management on quality activities
  • Maintain proper records of quality test, procedures, and standards.
  • Conduct mass balance and traceability exercise on monthly basis and during audits
  • Check the nutritional information in lab certificates corresponds to packaging bags and the label of products to ensure that are in date and correct product name
  • To check all goods in record and file traceability records
  • Support and assist Head of Bakery in sorting out customer complaint by investigating the route cause
  • To raise the non-conformance, issue to relevant department and ensure corrective actions are taken
  • Audit the premises and make the site ready for internal and external audit

Skills and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Safety and Control or similar
  • 3+ years' experience in similar role
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Stong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong organisational skills
