Job Overview

We are a Chef owned restaurant group, so our Brand Chefs drive our standards.  You will validate daily food tastings, correct scheduling to adhere to budgets, validate cleaning processes are being executed, create policy and procedural standards with the Director of Restaurants, and everything in-between.  You are ultimately responsible for the inventory, ordering, staffing, and execution of our kitchens.  You train our Executive and Sous Chefs for the next level.  While development and coaching are a vital talent of yours, at the end of the day, amazing guest experience, sparkling kitchens, and profitable restaurants are your focus points.  Everything starts and stops with you, so your own standards must be industry leading.

 Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist chef teams with managing shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, ordering, and planning
  • Validate inventories and ordering are being executed correctly
  • When called upon, assist with new recipes creation and execution
  • Validate memorable dining experiences by exceeding guest expectations at all locations
  • Understand flavors, aromas, and characteristics of food ingredients
  • Ensure product quality and restaurant cleanliness
  • Coach, lead and develop restaurant team
  • Drive continuous improvement

 Requirements

  • Must have 5+ years with multi-unit Chef experience in a high volume Italian concept
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business operations and financials/P&L’s
  • Ability to coach and develop chef teams that includes a variety of abilities
  • Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to assist and be on the line when needed
  • Serve safe & culinary degree preferred, but not required
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
