Description
Marea is an award-wining restaurant located in Central Park South featuring the cuisine of acclaimed chef, Michael White. Meaning "tide" in Italian, Marea redefines the seascape of high-end Italian cuisine and selectively looks for individuals who have an entrepreneurial spirit and who thrive in an environment that demands excellence in every dimension. Under the leadership of Chef de Cuisine, Lauren DeSteno, and General Manager, Sean Smith, Marea strives to provide superb cuisine and seamless service through teamwork and execution.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participating and leading lunch and dinner shifts, training of wait staff and keeping them up to date of all beverage changes, helping to maintain the wine cellar, the beverage storeroom, and assist in the monthly inventory process.
The ideal candidate should have 4 years of restaurant industry experience, with 2 years of experience working with beverage and have a solid foundation with French and Italian products. Court of Master Sommeliers' Certified Diploma is preferred.
