Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
• Overall management of a 600+ capacity food, drink and event space
• Liaising with traders and dealing with operational concerns.
• Formulate budgets for your venue and commercial event opportunities
• Setting sales targets with your team.
• Implementing the marketing strategy.
• Sales planning and idea generation
• Effective shift management of the on-site team including a management team
• Contract management of cleaning, security, maintenance, waste, etc working closely with the head of property.
• Monitoring and managing health and safety systems
• Sourcing best value and implementing efficiencies
• Creating a positive image and environment and enhancing all working relationships
• Managing and overseeing the production and security of large-scale events and high footfall days
• Overseeing the smooth running of multiple food, drink and miscellaneous retailers.
• Liaison with local authorities and councils to maintain a strong neighbouring relationship
• Becoming the designated premises supervisor for the site
• Training and Staffing Management – You will be responsible for all Staff and Management Employed by your venue, motivating and training your team where required and managing their learning and development where possible. (Utilise available resources where possible to assist you).

General:
• Work closely with Market Hall’s marketing team to ensure Catering and Event services are promoted to the target audience and advertised effectively to maximise financial return for the Hall.
• Record relevant customer comments and ensure that any issues are resolved positively and fed back to the relevant supplier for action.
• Work closely with all other site General Managers on initiatives, which will benefit Market Hall group customer base and ensure harmonious and productive relationships, which work to the benefit of the entire organisation.
• Actively contribute as a member of Market Halls senior management team, attending key meetings.
• In conjunction with Market Halls Finance team, review financial data to ensure accurate figures for event settlements and general catering commissions.
• Ensure contractors comply with legal and Market Hall requirements to include:
a. H&S
b. Food Hygiene
c. Fire regulations
d. Licensing Law
e. Sales of Goods/Trading Standards
• Report to the Head of Operations on progress regularly and as required.
• Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Head of Operations or any member of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Work with Head of Property to maintain and manager your venues equipment and upkeep.

Experience and qualifications
EssentialSenior management experience of:
• Managing a fast paced and demanding live hospitality or catering venue or similar environment
• Running a multifaceted catering/hospitality business and/or high-level relationship management
• Driving substantial financial growth and service improvements in catering/hospitality
• Substantial budget responsibility
• Experience of Pre-opening/Opening of new Hotel, Restaurant or events space

• Personal licence holder
Desirable
• Sales & marketing, ideally within a catering environment
• Audience segmentation / market research / customer feedback
• Experience/knowledge of regulations/law relating to H&S, Food Hygiene, Licensing, Fire, Sales of Goods/Trading Standards 3
