Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
Delivering customer service to all visitors
Being a Brand Ambassador for Market Halls by representing the company's core beliefs and values.
Be able to make appropriate recommendations to our customers, with allergies taken into consideration
Ensure that all the necessary utensils, menus and advertising material are available
Prepare the drinks on our menu to the required standard, each one looking as good and on brand as the last.
Engage with guests whilst mixing and serving all drinks with style and energy.
Keep the bar looking well presented, clean and tidy, with menus easily accessible.
Responsible for handling amounts of money and settling both cash and card payments in the correct legal tender.
Ensure that all perishable products are correctly stored and labelled, that the bar is kept in a clean, and organised manner whilst conforming to food safety and health and safety regulations.
Responsible for reporting any safety issues, such as broken tables, broken chairs, blocked doors and spillages to the management team and assisting in correcting the issue.
Report any security issues that you may see to the onsite Security team or the Manager on Duty.
You will assist in the management of the responsible sale of alcohol.
Maintain the venue to a high standard of cleanliness, inline with the the EHO Health and Hygiene Standards.
General:
Work closely with Market Hall’s Floor team to ensure customers/guests are well looked after and have the best possible experience during their visit.
Work closely with the Bar Manager on initiatives and promotions.
Comply with all policies set out by Market Halls to include:
a. H&S
b. Food Hygiene
c. Fire regulations
d. Licensing Law
e. Sales of Goods/Trading Standards
Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Head of Operations or any member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Person Specification
Experience and qualifications
Essential
Experience of:
Working in a customer service environment, preferably within a busy bar.
Knowledge of popular cocktails and alcoholic drinks.
Cash handling
Desirable
Experience of working as a Bartender in a busy city/town bar
Extensive knowledge of all beverages with the ability to make recommendations
Stock control, cleaning and hygiene standards.
Skills and approach
Knowledgeable and passionate about food & drink
A clear and persuasive communicator
Excellent emotional intelligence
An ability to upsell
A desire to please customers
Organised, professional and efficient, able to prioritise.
Complaint handling/service recovery
