We have an exciting opportunity for an Oracle Test Lead to join our award-winning Business Change and Technology team on a 9-month Fixed Term contract. You will be based in Birmingham City Centre in a hybrid working role, with your main objective to ensure that the Mitchells & Butlers Test Policy and Processes are maintained and delivered correctly in accordance with the agreed company approach and standards.

The Oracle Test Lead will, as part of the Test Team, be responsible for the daily testing practices within Mitchells & Butlers in line with agreed schedules and direction from the Test Manager. This role requires an experienced and Oracle system-literate individual who is proficient in understanding integrations, interfaces, and maintaining data quality and integrity throughout the overall solution. Able to drive the Integration testing as a co-ordinator.

You will be well rewarded: -

  • Working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility around your personal commitments.
  • 33% off at all our brands, including our hotels. Whether it’s date night at Miller & Carter or a family roast at Toby Carvery, we’ve got you covered.
  • A pension that pays, where we’ll more than match your contributions (x1.5 of your contributions, up to a maximum of 5% of your salary).
  • Private healthcare, dental plan, cycle-to-work, and keep-fit schemes.
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

  • Define and execute the integration testing strategy, ensuring full coverage across upstream and downstream applications
  • Plan, lead and coordinate integration testing activities across Oracle HCM and related systems.
  • Create and manage test data, leveraging a strong functional understanding of Oracle HCM and Payroll and coordinate data with downstream applications to ensure end-to-end coverage.
  • Perform hands-on testing of integrations: payload validation, mapping logic, middleware flows, API calls
  • Align testing with DevOps pipelines, integrating test artifacts and automation outputs
  • Manage defects through structured triage with developers, architects, and functional teams
  • Manage and co-ordinate testing across product owners
  • Manage test environments including Oracle and non Oracle
  • Manage and define test data alongside business SMEs
