We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Brand Standards Auditor within our hotels department – Innkeeper’s Collection. Our Innkeeper’s Collection offers guests more than just a place to stay – it's a reason to travel, with award-winning pubs, bars, and restaurants on the doorstep.


In this challenging and varied role, you'll support and coach Managers and Regional Business Managers (RBMs) to elevate hotel performance across our portfolio of 50+ UK hotels. You will ensure our brand standards, safety, and commercial success are always top priorities.


This is a mobile role reporting directly to the Head of Hotels, offering you the opportunity to travel, inspire, and drive excellence throughout our UK wide IKC estate.

What will I be doing…?

  •  Complete visits to IKC sites to conduct a full hotel scorecard audit.
  • Provide coaching to GMs and retail teams during a hotel visit on actions to improve.
  • Confidently challenge GMs and retail teams on serious risks and breach of standards.
  • Regularly review hotel performance across the scorecard and from other available and intervene where required.
  • Work closely with aligned central support functions and colleagues to ensure high standards of service delivery to hotel operators.
  • Support the wider IKC team to fully understand the hotel operational issues and where their support is required.
  • To update the brand exec team with current performance, operational issues and commercial opportunities.
  • To support all acquisitions, remodels and maintenance projects by attending briefing and all key project milestones to support effective openings.
  • Attend operations meetings where required to assist in the assessment of brand standards and to improve performance.
  • Work in partnership with RBMs to support awareness on the delivery and improvement of accommodation brand and safety standards and performance expectations.
  • Liaise with the MAB Safety Team as required to target support to businesses and RBMs which fail to comply to the company’s accommodation and safety policies
  • To support the induction of RBMs and capability of Hotels of Excellence GMs on brand standards


What do I need…?

  • Strong hospitality business acumen with and a passion and understanding for hotel operations
  • Effective coaching skills
  • Confidence to have courageous conversations
  • Self-starter capable of working independently
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels even in difficult situations
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety policies and practices in relation to accommodation
