Description

Electrician – Using a company van to travel from your home to our pubs and restaurants in the Milton Keynes area.

Looking for a better work life balance? No evening or weekend work is required in this role, nor is there an on-call rota – life is for living after all! Flexible working hours are also available, enabling you to fit work around your personal commitments…

About us…

Serving with pride since 1898, Mitchells & Butlers are the heart of UK hospitality. In fact, you already know us, even if you don’t realise it! We own and run more than 1,600 pubs, bars and restaurants including the stylish All Bar One brand, legendary Miller & Carter steakhouses, and the iconic Toby Carvery. We are Mitchells & Butlers, and we set the industry standard.

The Opportunity – Electrician

As an Electrician, you’ll use a company van to travel to our pubs and restaurants in the Milton Keynes area (you’ll be allocated approximately 120 sites to look after), to carry out planned preventative maintenance to emergency lighting and fire alarms, plus reactive remedial electrical works required to issue a clean certificate. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience with fire alarm systems – we’ll provide all the training you need!

No two days will ever be the same! One day you might be working alone, carrying out electrical system test remedials, and the next teaming up with other colleagues to carry out larger works. You’ll use your great people skills to build relationships with Area and General Managers and promote the impact you have in ensuring safe pubs and restaurants in the local area.

There are no call outs, evening or weekend work giving you a great work life balance.

Please note you would need to reside in Milton Keynes or the surrounding areas to be considered for the position.

You’ll be well rewarded…

  • Starting salary of £36,000 pay rate, plus an annual bonus scheme with the potential to earn up to 20% of your salary annually. We’re all about rewarding hard work
  • Permanent contract
  • Working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility with working hours to fit around your personal commitments (e.g., 7am to 2pm, 8am to 3pm, etc.)
  • No evening or weekend work, nor is there an on-call rota
  • Tools provided
  • Company van provided
  • 33% off at all our brands, including our hotels. Whether it’s date night at Miller & Carter or a family roast at Toby Carvery, we’ve got you covered
  • A pension that pays, where we’ll more than match your contributions (x1.5 of your contributions, up to a maximum of 5% of your salary)
  • Private healthcare, dental plan, cycle to work, and keep fit schemes
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, plus option to buy up to 2 weeks extra holiday
  • Opportunity to opt in to Sharesave Plan, enabling you to save to buy shares or have money returned
