Overview
The Management Accountant supports the Finance function by preparing accurate and timely management accounts, performing financial analysis, and ensuring key reconciliations are maintained. Working closely with operational teams, this role provides insights that help drive profitability, control costs, and support strategic decision-making across the hotel or cluster of properties.
The role is key to maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance with company policies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
·Prepare monthly management accounts for assigned hotel(s), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
·Perform detailed variance analysis with commentary, highlighting areas of concern or opportunity.
·Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
·Maintain reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts including bank, VAT, accruals, and prepayments.
·Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
·Collaborate with department heads to review financial performance and cost controls.
·Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis as needed.
·Monitor and analyse payroll costs, F&B margins, and other key operational KPIs.
·Ensure financial processes are followed in accordance with group policies and financial regulations.
·Assist in system improvements, process documentation, and reporting automation.

Skills & Qualifications
·Part-qualified qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
·Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a hotel or hospitality finance role.
·Strong understanding of P&L and balance sheet management.
·Proficient in Excel and experience with accounting and hotel systems (e.g., Sage, Opera, Sun, PMS).
·Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
·Experience working in a multi-property or cluster environment is a plus.
Working Condition
·Based across Montcalm Collection Head office in London
·Full-time position; flexibility required during month-end, audits, and budgeting periods
·Office-based with regular travel between hotels and head office as required.
