Job Description:
Position Overview: As an NRO Trainer/ Team
member at Dave's Hot Chicken, you will play a pivotal role in the exciting
process of opening new restaurants across the country. This role offers a
unique opportunity for travel, brand standard enforcement, and the imparting of
essential knowledge and skills to newly onboarded employees, enabling them to
excel in their new roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- New
Restaurant Openings: Lead and support the opening of new Dave's
Hot Chicken restaurants at various locations, ensuring that the brand's
high standards are met and maintained.
- Travel: Travel
to different regions and cities to oversee the launch of new restaurants
and provide hands-on guidance to ensure consistency in operations and
quality.
- Training: Conduct
comprehensive training sessions for new employees, including
front-of-house and back-of-house staff, to equip them with the necessary
skills and knowledge to excel in their respective roles.
- Brand
Standards: Enforce and uphold Dave's Hot Chicken brand standards,
ensuring that each restaurant consistently delivers a top-notch guest
experience.
- Team
Development: Foster a culture of teamwork, positivity, and
excellence, inspiring new employees to embrace the company's values and
work collectively to achieve success.
- Problem
Solving: Address any challenges or obstacles that arise during
the restaurant opening process, finding effective solutions to ensure a
smooth and successful launch.
- Communication: Maintain
clear and open communication with restaurant management teams, providing
regular updates and feedback to optimize the new restaurant opening
process.
- Training
Materials: Develop and update training materials and resources to
ensure that all employees receive consistent and up-to-date training.
In addition, they:
- Ensure
that they abide by company policies and directives
- Support
the goals, decisions, and directives of the restaurant management team and
is not insubordinate
- Contributes
to the restaurant’s success by accomplishing the expected work during each
shift consistently
- Communicate
effectively with team members and management to resolve any interpersonal
issues as needed
- Follows
all company guidelines for food and cash controls; follows all cost
control guidelines to maintain and minimize
restaurant costs; properly uses all products, supplies, and equipment
facilities
- Follow
the steps outlined in the DHC Training Program to learn new skills,
duties, and responsibilities
- Communicate
to their immediate supervisor when additional training guidance and
practice is needed
- Understand
how each job responsibility impacts guests, employees, and overall
restaurant operations
- Greet
guests, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently
positive and helpful attitude, including answering questions
- Work
together with their co-workers to prepare items on the DHC menu while
following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary
requirements
- Use
specific kitchen machinery/equipment such as ice cream dispensers, fryers,
warmers, etc.
- Ensure
restaurant cleanliness daily by clearing tables, sweeping and mopping
floors, washing/sanitizing/disinfecting kitchen
utensils and high touch-point areas, and servicing restrooms
- Handle
guests’ concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve
problems according to restaurant policy
- Maintain
a neat and tidy appearance by wearing a uniform and adhering to the
uniform policy
- Are
performance-oriented and performance driven; understand performance
expectations and are aware of performance
results
- Abide
to the rules and direction given by the restaurant management team
Qualifications:
- Previous
experience in restaurant management or as an NRO Trainer is preferred.
- Strong
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility
to travel to different locations as needed.
- Ability
to adapt to various working environments and team dynamics.
- A
passion for the Dave's Hot Chicken brand and a commitment to upholding its
standards.
- Excellent
problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude.
- Training
and coaching experience is a plus.
- Must
be at least 18 years old
- Flexibility
to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability
to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive
attitude while conducting any and all duties
- Commitment
to guest satisfaction
- Effective
communicator with co-workers and the restaurant management team
Transportation & accessibility:
- Must
have reliable transportation to work
- Must
have telephone or other reliable method of communicating with supervisor
and co-workers
Hours
- Must
be able and willing to work flexible hours including opening and closing
shifts
- This
includes working weekends/nights & holidays whenever necessary
