Northern Management Group LLC and its Entrepreneural Owners are looking to hire an In House Attorney to handle our multitude of acquisitions and closings.  As a cornerstone of our legal team, the In-House Attorney is entrusted with the critical task of safeguarding the company's interests, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating legal risks. This role requires a skilled legal professional with a strategic mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and adept communication skills; Experience in Acquisitions, Closings, and Licensing is Preferred.  Whether you're a seasoned legal expert looking to transition in-house or to semi-retired status, or an emerging talent eager to tackle new challenges,  we are interested in speaking with you regarding our open position.  This can be a full-time or part-time position.  This position is based out of our Dedham MA headquarters.

In-House Attorney Responsibilities & Duties
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the executive team and other departments.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
  • Represent the company in court, arbitration, and other legal proceedings.
  • Handle all the company's closings.
  • Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and keep up-to-date with changes in legislation.
  • Manage external legal counsel when specialized expertise is required.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to minimize risks and maximize opportunities.
  • Handle employment law issues, including employment contracts, dispute resolution, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Assist in the development and review of company policies and procedures.
  • Provide training to employees on legal topics relevant to their roles.
  • Conduct internal investigations and manage regulatory inquiries.
In-House Attorney Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience working in a corporate legal department or as an in-house counsel especially with Acquisitions and Closings
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate law and regulations.
  • Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with intellectual property law.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in MA
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on corporate law, Aquisitions, and closings
  • Proven track record of providing effective legal counsel.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and employment law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
