Officina is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support and maintain the service and standards of the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a passion for food and service with an emphasis on guest satisfaction and relations. You will be working closely with the GM in order to organize, support, and ensure that all operations are in order and compliance.

Requirements:
Fluent in speaking, writing and reading English
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role or a management position
Interpersonal skills with both guests and personnel team members
Experience with more than 50 employees
Comfortable and experienced with private events
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrates the ability of being organized and willingness to learn
Experience with utilizing different necessary softwares like Google Suites, POS systems, reservations, scheduling, payroll, etc.
Extensive knowledge in Italian culture, cuisines, and alcoholic beverages

Key Responsibilities:
Complete basic HR functions (hiring, training new employees, check references)
Make weekly schedules for employees and communicate that with all employees
Facilitate team-building activities
Delegate to staff but facilitate and cultivate an inclusive and respectful work environment for staff and guests
Communicate with culinary team and other heads of departments when necessary
Ensure the productivity of team members in both back and front of house
Greet and accommodate guests requests
Ensure service standards are top-notch
Find room for improvement in all aspects, especially service and customer satisfaction
Monitor and adhere to safety and hygiene standards and procedures
Investigate and resolve customer complaints
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to squat, crouch, bend over
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
