Up to £60,000 plus bonus - Live out

Located in the heart of the bustling Gunwharf Quays, this iconic building was until 1986, HMS Vernon, a centre for innovation & invention with the Royal Navy. This listed building has plenty of charm, with versatile rooms for dining, drinks & prebooked functions along with a large outside terrace. The pub attracts a diverse customer base of shoppers, destination diners, corporate groups and the local community.

This is a large‑scale, multifaceted operation with a significant year‑round sales profile. Annual turnover exceeds £3 million, with a 60/40 split in favour of drink, reflecting the site’s vibrant bar trade and all‑day popularity. Trading peaks during Christmas, with weeks hitting £110k, requiring a General Manager confident in delivering operational excellence during high‑volume periods.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and commercially astute General Manager who can lead and motivate a large and high performing team to deliver excellent hospitality and high standards. The right candidate will build on the pub’s strong reputation for quality service, atmosphere and memorable experiences, as well as maintaining a strong working relationship with the Gunwharf Quay’s ownership.
