Company: Olio Italian is an upscale, Italian dining concept with a full bar and private event space. Our experience offers guests an authentic sampling of Italian cuisine, as well as Old and New World Wines, available to be served family style or by individual order.
Job Description: Responsible for the initial greeting and seating of guests. Answering phones, taking message and reservations on Open Table platform. Maintaining an accurate wait if necessary and bidding goodbye to all guests. Build rapport with guests and help the business establish regulars.
Job Qualifications:
● Acquire and wear appropriate uniform as prescribed in employee manual. Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of uniform.
● Reliable transportation to and from work
● Works days, nights, holidays and/or weekends as required
● Ability to use concise language to communicate between guests and BOH
● Ability to work in a team environment
● Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
● Must have problem solving abilities, be attentive to details and able to multi-task
● Commitment to quality serve food and beverage
● Ability to provide excellent customer service for all tables in Olio Italian
● Has a willingness to learn and master our menu, steps of service, and standards

Job Tasks:
● Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and provide excellent guest experiences
● Notify problems to management immediately while maintaining professional etiquette
● Complete all side work when and as assigned
● Manage the patio seating and cleanliness
● Periodically ensure the front door and lobby glass is wipe down and clean.
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of host desk and waiting area throughout the shift.
● Efficiently arrange tables appropriately for each party.
● Inform guests of any Limited Time Offers or promotions (Happy Hour)
● Proficient knowledge of all food and beverage menus with knowledge of allergies and aversions
● Walking new guests through our dining concept with concise explanation
● Maintain guest interaction with filling of beverages, waters, and bread
● Create and sustain regulars with focus on building rapport
● Understand and communicate with managers regarding guest experience to repair any damaged guest experiences
● Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and Federal/State/Local laws
● Showcase ability to multitask, work efficiently under pressure, and always maintain calm conduct.
● Anticipate needs of schedule special parties
● Accurately quote wait time within 5 minutes
● Efficiently assign tables appropriate for parties being seated
● Communicate seating needs to service, bus and other host staff
● Cordially inform the guest above where to wait and how wait system works
● Relate to guests pleasantly with good humor and effective communication.
● Ensure restaurant operations are running smoothly by completing all “Jolt” checklists and assigned side-work in a timely manner
● Able to act with initiatives in planning for future and possible consequences
● Pro-active in getting things done and exceeding expectations of both guests and team members
● Safely handling food, and maintaining general cleanliness of Olio Italian
● Maintain a positive, friendly demeanor throughout the entirety of shift
● Comply to all manager requests for any cleaning tasks or other duties
● Complete training programs and attend classes as directed
● Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to perform tasks outside of an assigned position

● Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
