Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates extensive knowledge in wine selection and ensures the wine list is in keeping with the menu and recent trends.

  2. Creates a memorable “experience” for all guests by ensuring exceptional service, showmanship and professionalism.

  3. Works with Managers to consistently meet revenue and profitability goals for beverage programs.

  4. Able to organize wine cellar and storage area for spirits.

  5. Conducts all beverage related training programs (wine service, spirits service, up selling, etc.)

  6. Develops wine program across the brand.

  7. Participates in the purchasing of wines, spirits and glassware, etc.

  8. Assists all outlets with wine service as needed.

  9. Maintains inventory of wines on property. Ensures accountability for all product at each outlet.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must demonstrate outstanding interpersonal communications skills.

  2. Must have experience in Food and Beverage Operations.  

  3. Experience must include at least 5 years fine dining experience and 5 years in management.

  4. Must be a trained Sommelier and have extensive wine knowledge.

  5. Must have membership to a Sommelier Guild.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations. The duties of this position may change from time to time.
