Description
The Operations Manager is a senior member of the OTG Management team, and ultimately responsible for day to day OTG operations within a designated airport terminal including, but not limited to, overall airport and safety compliance, restaurant operations, facilities, revenue generation, sanitation and statutory regulations, and manager and crewmember staffing, training and performance. The Ops Manager serves as the OTG point of contact for OTG General Managers and traveling public. The Manager is accountable for driving business results in support of operational goals, for Implementing strategies which drive budgetary goals, for initiating and leading operational changes, and for assisting General Managers in implementing changes and results. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring professional development of General Managers and subordinate managers and for ensuring performance management and development of crewmembers. The Operations Manager assists the Terminal Director ensuring a positive OTG experience in OTG guests. The Operations Manager is positioned to take full responsibility for an airport terminal when training and success has been completed.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Hospitality, Business or Culinary Arts
Minimum 5 years General Management experience
Minimum 3 years experience as GM in multi-unit environment
Minimum 3 years management experience high-volume operations
Minimum 3 years management experience in alcohol service
Knowledge of P&L and 3 years responsibility for P&L
Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
Knowledge of marketing techniques and impact on business results
Experience in guest relations, negotiations and complaints
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to service of customers, crew, co-workers and management
Demonstrated leadership ability; ability to lead by example
High integrity and Honesty
High Work Ethic, passion and commitment
Ability to work flexible hours, days, shifts, including holidays
Demonstrated coaching and development skills
Ability to train and delegate
Follow through and dependability
Adherence and modeling of OTG values
Knowledge of / certification in/ adherence to safety and food sanitation
Knowledge of/ certification in alcohol service
Ability to clear background check for OTG and Airport badge.
