WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR

As a New Store Opening Specialist (NSOS), you will first ensure critical retail, brand, and barista training is completed successfully during the 7-10 days of a new café opening.  Once the café opens to the public, you, along with the rest of the NSO team will continue to support the new café team with their training, as well as being an extra support for the successful opening or closing shifts. You will be teaching and training to our Mission, Vision and Brand Values, being a PB Brand Ambassador in all your interactions.

Your focus is on ensuring you and the rest of the NSO team are driving a culture of teaching and learning around sales, service, quality and operational excellence to ensure we leave new Franchise teams with learnings that support their success.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with NSOM and other NSOSs to ensure that all FOH training is happening in alignment with the NSO timeline and toolkit.
  • Facilitates Retail and Barista Team Member’s training, while validating learnings, in the three days prior to opening.
  • Facilitates guest service training that is aligned to PB Mission, Vision and Brand Values.
  • Responsible for ensuring that both FOH & BOH teams are consistently trained and adhering to sanitation and food safety standards.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to all new hires to ensure we are maintaining and executing to the highest standards of product quality
  • Identify any gaps in training or onsite support and provide feedback and recommendations to the New Store Opening Manager.
  • Must have a passion for teaching and coaching and engaging new hires in the learning process.
  • Professional composure and a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Ability to work extended workdays to support the business as needed.
  • Ability to travel and have a flexible work schedule.
  • When not working on an NSO, may be required to support in Corporate café support.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • 2 plus years of Restaurant experience/ Bakery Café experience preferred.
  • Passion for people! A dynamic and engaged leader who has a passion for empowering, inspiring, motivating & developing team members.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to effectively balance priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and highly entrepreneurial environment.
