WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR


As the Senior Regional Training and Development Manager for Cake, you will be responsible for leading the training and coaching of our Caker Trainees. You will be responsible for the effective training of all Cakers while familiarizing trainees with all baking procedures. You will help to achieve our mission by providing quality training to our Masters at Work in order to provide a delightful guest experience and produce the highest quality bakery products.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Work with Company’s leadership to develop a learning and development strategy that will enhance the brand, promote retention and assure that the Company has talent ready for the next level of responsibility.
  • Maintain the highest standards of bakery product quality.
  • Conducting and leading potential bakers through training program and familiarizing trainees with all baking processes and procedures
  • Conduct needs assessments to determine the type of training and content needed to deliver measurable results.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for newly hired Cakers.
  • Collaborate with Operations to determine performance gaps and to identify, develop and execute the training needed to achieve our standards.
  • Ensure that the methods and materials used for training support the strategy, brand and mission of the company in a cost-effective, fun and motivational way.
  • Work with the leadership team on developing metrics that regularly measure the effectiveness of our learning and development programs.
  • Facilitate learning and development sessions and ensure that the training team delivers the content consistently, and in a positive, upbeat and fun manner.
  • Lead, develop and manage Back of House Training Managers.
  • Prepare and adhere to training budgets. Report the results of the training programs to the management of the company.
  • Ability to work extended workdays to the support business as needed.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE


  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college
  • 5-7 years of training and development experience
  • Ability to manage a training function and supervising team members
  • Certification in specific leadership training curriculum, plus
  • Flexible, adaptive, upbeat, open and visible training style
  • Passion for people! Dynamic and engaged trainer who has a passion for empowering, inspiring, motivating & developing team members.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to effectively balance priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and highly entrepreneurial environment.
  • Feedback is a gift! Ability to provide construction feedback and recognition to every member of the organization, to ensure we have an open and transparent culture of high performance standards.

  • Restaurant experience required/ Bakery/Café experience preferred.
  • Love of travel! Ability to commute to all current Corporate and Franchise locations, as well as proposed openings.
