Reports to: Director of Training & Development

With a projected 1,000 cafes in the United States by 2030, Paris Baguette is one of the fastest-growing neighborhood bakery cafés in the world. WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Training & Development Manager to help build and deliver training programs that support the success of our corporate and franchise café teams, as well as our support office team members. This individual will own the General Manager (GM) training program at the Training Center.

This is an individual contributor role — ideal for someone with strong café or retail experience, who enjoys both strategic thinking and practical execution. The right candidate will take training needs and bring them to life through engaging materials and effective facilitation that reflect our brand values and business goals.

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General Manager Training: Facilitate and manage the GM training program at the Training Center, ensuring new General Managers are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to lead successfully.
  • Content Development: Design and develop training materials including facilitator guides, job aids, videos, and presentations.
  • Collaborative Needs Analysis: Support the Director of Training & Development with needs assessments — help identify gaps and propose solutions that meet those needs.
  • Brand Representation: Translate our company’s mission, vision, and values into compelling training content that inspires cafe teams and reinforces our culture.
  • Onboarding & Orientation: Manage training plans for new corporate hires and facilitate orientation sessions.
  • Learning Management System (LMS): Ensure LMS structure, content, and reporting are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with operational standards, brand voice, and company values.
  • Compliance: Develop and manage compliance training for corporate/support teams.
  • Reporting & Evaluation: Track training progress and metrics, assess effectiveness, and adjust programs to improve outcomes.
  • Communication: Manage internal communications related to training, including weekly updates.
  • Content Management: Independently manage training projects from concept through delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
  • Cafe Visits: Visit cafes, as needed, to observe operations, gather insights, and ensure training materials address real-world challenges.
  • Other duties may be assigned. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of Retail/Restaurant experience is required.
  • At least 3-5 years of training and development experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) required.
  • Experience creating course materials, job aids, guides, and assessment tools.
  • Ability to facilitate in-person training effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, including writing and editing skills required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively balance priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and highly entrepreneurial environment.
