Seeking bar manager for established successful restaurant in Edgewater, NJ. The restaurant is dynamic and popular with locals and foodies. The food program is Modern American - upscale, expressing principles of quality, skill of execution, and freshness of ingredients. Bar program is progressive. Beverage program is large and diverse, including professionally curated specialty cocktails.

The position entails responsibilities of: schedules, guest interaction and relations, service team direction and support, concept and morale driving, service standards enforcement, support of management team. Fine dining experience preferred; bonus points for sommelier training, bar experience, etc. Ideal candidate will have been a front of house manager for at least 3 years, and a bar manager for 1+ years. Must be able to work holidays, nights and weekends, no exceptions!

Very reasonable hours for the industry, competitive salary, $70-$80k based on experience, potential bonus, paid time off.

Responsibilities:

  • Liquor Cost
  • Supervise service staffs.
  • Adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Train and evaluate employees
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints
  • Monthly Inventory
  • Weekly Ordering      

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in restaurant management plus 1 year bar management level experience required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
