JOB PURPOSE

Premier Foods is a leading wholesale produce company based within New Covent Garden Market dealing with fresh and frozen deliveries throughout the UK. We are looking to employ a driven professional with prepared kitchen experience to operationally manage our busy London kitchen. The ability to work around the current Kitchen operational schedules finding the efficiencies required and enhancing an already smooth operation. Working with the kitchen supervisors and the technical team you will manage all aspects of the operation adhering to a costed budget.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading and managing daily operations within the Prepared Kitchen.

• Food production  

• Quality control

• Team scheduling

• Team training

• Team supervision

• Adherence to industry food safety standards

 • Overseeing inventory management to minimize wastage and increase efficiency

• Maintaining an environment that encourages growth and support for the team and the business

• Be able to foster a collaborative and versatile approach with the wider business teams.

NATURE AND PURPOSE OF INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS

Internal

The jobholder will be expected to maintain close and effective personal working relationships at all levels of the organisation. The communication skills required include the ability to communicate complex, sensitive and contentious information.

LIMITS OF AUTHORITY

The jobholder’s day-to-day delivery of HR services will be autonomous, within the context of the priorities agreed with the Director’s.
