The Role: 

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving event and group sales at both Lakeside and Watford venues. Responsibilities include but are not limited to driving Group Sales events revenue for the company, maximising Spend Per Head, managing, retaining and growing Promotor and Partner relationships as well as reporting monthly and quarterly KPIs. The Senior Sales Manager must display the ability to uphold Puttshack standards and procedures, maximise financial performance, and build relationships within the venue based operational teams and in the local community to help grow the Puttshack brand.

Location: Puttshack HQ (Bank) with travel to Puttshack Lakeside & Watford

Working Hours:  45 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work

Pay Range: DOE (basic) + commission

Reports to:  Marketing & Sales Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to venue specific enquiries including show rounds, fam trips, special requests and guest recovery when necessary
  • Generate new leads, including those through referrals from past clients as well as follow-up repeat and lost business
  • Create strategies to generate new business using local and national market data
  • Contribute to the success of the UK group sales team through attendance at showcases, exhibitions and trade shows
  • Manage and grow relationships with promotors and partners for all venues
  • Lead event revenue forecasting, planning and reporting against sales targets and initiatives
  • Participate in venue leadership team meetings as well as partnering with venue and kitchen teams for review of event orders
  • Establish relationships on behalf of Puttshack with the community and location
  • Assist in hiring and training of sales teams.
  • Deputise Marketing & Sales Director if/when necessary
  • Manage cross-functional sales projects and initiatives

  • A high level of intelligence, professionalism, and overall self-awareness

Qualifications , Experience & Essential Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Sales Manager in a high volume (£2M+ annual event/groups revenue) restaurant, hotel, or entertainment/leisure environment
  • Knowledge of proactive sales strategies, as well as relationship building 
  • Preferably 3+ years of B2B and/or B2C sales experience
  • Experience of Triple Seat and Seven Rooms an advantage
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be flexible to travel to our Watford and Lakeside venues
