As a Host / Hostess, you are responsible for creating a warm, friendly and incredible environment for Basque by Eneko guests’ dining experience. Our Basque by Eneko Host / Hostess thrive on making loyal guests by taking them to their seats and presenting them with clean menus in a courteous, quick and professional manner, and greeting them with a warm and genuine goodbye.

Ultimately, you'll ensure that we provide excellent guest service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests, always with a smile. For this role, you should be people skilled and motivated to make sure our guests have an unforgettable dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. The ideally candidate for this role has excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality and thrive in a team based environment.

Responsibilities

• A warm and welcoming delivery while processing our valued reserved and walk-in guests
• Excellent customer service skills in person and over the phone
• Positive attitude and aim to provide communication skills
• Provide accurate information and monitor waiting lists
• Escort guests to assigned dining or bar area
• Provide menus and explain the concept to our guests
• Bidding goodbye
• Maintain a clean reception and working area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
• Assist waiter staff as needed

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills in person, in writing and in speaking
• Availability to work in shifts as needed
• Flexible availability on nights and weekends
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
• You live in Brussels (or nearby)
• French & English needs to be spoken fluently
