Job description
The new restaurant and Bar concept at Radisson Collection Grand Place Hotel, Brussels is to be conceived as a new outstanding reference point for the coolest meetups in town. The bar will be a dynamic core in the concept, designed to shift the mood of the space throughout the day and become a favourite hang-out spot.
 
The Restaurant and bar are contemporary and sophisticated, easy going and vibrant. The Menu features an internationally inspired brasserie style cuisine with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, as well as an open show kitchen with Shanghai specialties. During the day we are a place to meet, relax or work, and in the evenings the bar and restaurant is host to the local social scene.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you are key to the seamless running of our restaurant. That’s why we expect you to:

- Be the soul of the brand, you are the first person guests will see when they enter the restaurant/bar
- Be fully engaged and living by the company’s Yes I Can ethos
- Provide a highly efficient and effective service
- Manage the influx of people wishing to eat in our restaurant
- Engage and anticipate guest needs, always going for the hands-on approach
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
- Drive quality results – as you know , you never get a second chance to make a first impression
- Support in Implementing and maintaining standards as per concept
- Take ownership for accomplishing new and different guest requests; exploring opportunities to add value
- Create a supportive, hands-on and motivating team culture

Requirements:

- Proven experience in a guest relations position, ideally within a restaurant environment
- Ability to adapt to changing service environments
- Good leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
- Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
- Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures
- Skilled with Microsoft Office software, especially in Excel
- An open, positive and communicative personality
- Ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
