  Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Pastry Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting desserts, baked goods, and pastry items to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a professional kitchen or pastry environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and produce desserts, pastry bases, creams, doughs, cakes, breads, ice creams, sorbets, and other pastry items according to company standards.
  • Manage the pastry section efficiently during preparation and service.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef and Head Chef on seasonal menus and new dessert ideas.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Monitor stock levels, mise en place, ingredient rotation, and wastage.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Support the wider kitchen team during busy services, events, and special occasions.
  • Train and support junior members of the pastry team when required.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards across the kitchen and the wider business.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and dessert preparation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisation, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Passion for high-quality ingredients, seasonality, and presentation.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, or professional pastry kitchens.
  • Knowledge of bread, viennoiserie, chocolate work, ice cream, or plated desserts.
  • Creativity and interest in developing new dessert ideas.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
