Central UK Head Office Red Carnation Hotels (London)

Description

The Red Carnation Hotels is seeking a strong mid- to senior-weight Interior Designer to join its London team.

Salary: £55k–£70k depending on experience

Location: Head Office (14-15 Grosvenor Place SW1X7HH)

The Red Carnation Hotel Group is expanding its in-house design team and offering an exciting opportunity for a talented mid-weight or senior interior designer (minimum five years’ experience) to join on a full-time, permanent basis.

With a portfolio of 17 luxury hotels around the world, the group is investing significantly in renovation projects over the coming years. This role offers the chance to help shape the company’s design identity in this next chapter.

The position is based in our beautiful office next to Buckingham Palace, with the requirement to work from the studio five days a week. You’ll report directly to the Design Director and will be part of a close-knit team working on diverse, design-led hospitality projects.

About you:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in interior design (preferably hospitality focused)
  • Strong design sensibility with ability to respond to context, history, and vision
  • Client-facing experience and confidence liaising with contractors and consultants
  • Collaborative, proactive, and positive attitude
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong documentation and technical detailing skills
  • Solid supplier knowledge and procurement understanding
  • Self-motivated and independent, while also a strong team player

Software and Other Design Skills:

  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Bonus: Rendering skills (SketchUp, Enscape or similar), photoshoot/styling experience, OS&E sourcing

Responsibilities

You’ll lead 3–4 small to mid-scale projects from concept through to completion, alongside a number of smaller creative tasks. Responsibilities range from concept development to producing detailed specification documents and drawing packs. As an in-house role within a hospitality group, the position also includes wider design involvement — from photoshoots and styling to brand and visual storytelling. You’ll work closely with our operations team and have a voice in shaping truly world-class 5* spaces.

We’re looking for someone with a strong design foundation who’s ready to take ownership of meaningful projects and contribute to a broader creative vision.

What We Offer:

  • Beautiful central London office with flexible Fridays after two months
  • A collaborative, supportive studio culture
  • Annual performance-based bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits including optional healthcare and pension
  • Opportunities for travel and involvement in global hospitality projects
  • 20 days annual leave (rising to 27 days with length of service)
