About us:
The Red Barn is an idyllic 16th-century barn, with a very good reputation for fresh food, weddings and other functions. With plenty of parking and 3 separate outdoor areas the pub is a big attraction for everything from family celebrations to date nights, corporate meetings to weddings we can accommodate it all in the beautiful setting that is the Red Barn.
The pub is the heart of the community and we want to expand the team that we have to grow the business further.
Being a Head Chef at Young's:
We believe every pub should be different. This means that you'll be writing your own recipes that match the food vision of your business using fresh seasonal ingredients. The food vision could be all about showcasing local produce, country pub classics, seafood, small plates and sharers, dry-aged meat - each pub is different and its up to you as head chef to put your own creative stamp on that vision. We work with fresh, seasonal produce, so the menu should constantly evolve to showcase these fantastic ingredients when they are at their best. This role requires someone that can inspire a team, to bring out the potential and lead by example whilst being able to develop, cost and produce fresh seasonal menus for the variety of revenue streams within the business.
The Red Barn is a glorious destination pub, a stunning building set within beautiful surroundings. we host a verity large events throughout the year and many weddings in the warmer months we have a large resturant area and a huge outside space for dinners and drinkers alike. We need an experienced Head Chef who can uphold standards, drive and inspire their team and cope with 20k plus weekly food sales.
