The role... 

An exciting new position has come available within Restaurant RenMor in the role of Bar Manager, working closely alongside the Restaurant Manager. 

As Bar Manager, your main focus points would be:

  • Cocktail menu development, including seasonal offerings. Using initiative when it comes to kitchen waste to create syrups and infusions and also creating menus using excess/bin end stock. 
  • Wine service - developing our wine to table service, recommendations, use of the cheese and wine room, and working alongside the Restaurant Manager to develop our service standards and enhance training with the team. 
  • Stock & cellar management, reducing stock holding, ordering correctly each week and stock rotation. 
  • To be an inspiring and motivational leader for the Bartenders. Help them develop and grow within their roles. 
  • Hygiene and standards must be upheld. Cleaning schedules in place and pride in the bars area is a must. 
  • Develop offering within RenMor, Ballroom/Veranda, Spa and working with Deck team. 

An ideal candidate would be someone strong bar management skills and stock management experience. 

Desirable qualifications and experience:

  • Mixology
  • WSET Level 2 and above
  • Commercially minded
  • Cellar management
  • Personal licence holder

Salary and contract...

This position is offered on a permanent, full time contract working 45 hours over 5 days, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. If you have what it takes to join a vibrant, multi award winning hotel such as The Headland, we would love to hear from you.
