Description
Rock Center Café brings you chef-driven cuisine at breakfast, lunch, dinner & brunch, house-crafted cocktails, and some of New York’s top brews in one of the most memorable, landmark locations in New York City. With stunning views of the iconic Rink at Rockefeller Center, we offer an exceptional setting with a series of original prints by the great American artist Andy Warhol and seasonally updated menus supporting local family farms.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversight of day-to-day shift operations, including opening and closing of the restaurant.
- Hands-on ownership of service, monitoring the restaurant floor and supervising of all regular staff functions.
- Engaging with clientele to ensure the highest levels of guest-satisfaction are achieved and the prompt resolution of any issues.
- Leading staff in the upkeep of the facility and ensuring impeccable standards for cleanliness and sanitary food and beverage practices.
- Monitoring staff interactions with guests to ensure the highest level of service is being consistently delivered and actively coaching staff to meet this expectation.
- Performing employee cash-outs and ensuring that accurate accounting practices are consistently followed by all staff.
- Training new associates on all systems and procedures in use in the restaurant.
- Assisting staff as needed with duties including bussing tables, taking reservations, running food, etc.

Qualities and Attributions Necessary:
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a high volume, fast-paced restaurant.
- A spirit rooted in hospitality, a sincere appreciation for bringing joy to others, and a desire to serve.
- The ability to react rapidly to a constantly changing environment and to multi-task with ease.
- A warm, outgoing and genuine personality, to go along with outstanding empathy for others.
- Advanced knowledge of food and beverage, including comfort with wine, beer and spirits and a finger on the pulse of modern culinary trends.
- A deep commitment and willingness to learn and continually develop oneself.
- Clean and organized work habits.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work nights, weekends and ALL holidays

**Experience with MICROS & OpenTable, or other similar POS and Floor Management systems is a MUST!!
