Position Summary
The Dishwasher plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate shows up on time, works collaboratively with the kitchen team, and consistently follows all sanitation, safety, and health protocols. This role supports overall café operations by ensuring dishware, utensils, and kitchen areas remain clean, organized, and ready for service.

• Wash Dishes by hand or machine
• Sweep and mop dining room, patio and kitchen
• Take out the trash, empty and clean receptacles
• Clean dish storage
• Clean spills or broken glassware immediately
• Check juices, milk, water and ice machine
• Help unload trucks and stock supplies
• Aids prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
• Always follows sanitation policies

• No experience required (we’re willing to train)
• Has a sense of urgency with helping customers
• Ability to work well with others and be hospitable with guests
• Good time management skills
• Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing multiple priorities
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must maintain current state-issued Food Handler Card
• Must be 16 years of age or older

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear. The employee frequently has to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee also must use hands to handle, feel, and reach. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 4 hours in length. Required to frequently wash hands and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This job operates in a kitchen and may be working near co-workers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, and tripping.
