JOB SUMMARY
Supervise and direct team members/production crew to manage the manufacturing operations effectively and efficiently by ensuring that required volume and specifications conform to the established standards and cost parameters.

Manufacturing/Production Control & Management

  • Supervise the activities of production section assigned.
  • Direct team leaders and crew to meet production quality, volume, cost, production schedules and delivery dates.
  • Develop, implement and manage the (3) parts of shift (pre-shift, during & post-shift) to achieve department’s business goals and targets.
  • Promote, reinforce and support adherence to company policies, safety standards Plant Safety, First In-First Out (FIFO), Supplies Management/Issuance and proper storage to promote food safety, GMP, HACCP and good housekeeping practices & 5S.
  • Prepare/review and approve requisitions, material/stock transfers, work schedules, inventory reports and all other required reports needed to prepare for next day’s production schedule.
  • Analyze root cause of problems (i.e. damage or spoiled food items) and discuss with Production Management and Quality Assurance teams the identified interim, preventive and contingent actions.
  • Monitor equipment performance, preventive maintenance and repairs in the work area to ensure continuity and efficiency of use.
Financial & Resource Management
  • Plan, organize, lead and manage production resources (4Ms:  Manpower, Materials, Methods and Machine) to ensure efficient, accurate, timely production and compliance to quality standards; achieve cost targets and eliminate wasteful practices in day-to-day operations.
  • Forecast manpower and material requirements based on production plan and sales forecasts; establishing and adjusting procedures to meet production schedule.
  • Implement production schedule to ensure daily production volume is met and timely availability of finished goods for distribution to designated locations/stores.
  • Prepare/recommend manpower scheduling, posting and optimize manpower productivity to achieve labor cost.
People Management
  • Promote/support strict compliance to company standards of company rules and regulations and thus also avoiding safety hazards, wastages & spoilages.
  • Recommend/participate in the manpower identification/selection, assessment (including performance appraisals), training and development.
  • Promote, reinforce and support a healthy and positive social atmosphere of Manufacturing by maintaining good employee relations, adherence to legal laws (HR, labor, etc.); take proper and judicious disciplinary measures when required; handle employee grievances and recommend timely management actions.
  • Promote/Support employee-engagement programs (i.e. employee engagement survey)
Others
  • Prepare periodic status/management reports covering the operations of production and technical services to the Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager and other reports that maybe required by management.
  • Perform other duties/functions that maybe assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
  • At least Associate degree in business, industrial mgt. or any related discipline or equivalent combination of education & experience; experience in food manufacturing, preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, leading and motivating staff.

    • Stand/walk for the majority of their scheduled work shift.

    • Bend and/or squat down for the majority of their scheduled shift.
    • Climb, stoop and/or kneel rarely.
    • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Need to see well enough to read/compose email, reports and use the computer and be proactive to internal/external customers’ needs.
    • Need to speak and hear well enough to receive instructions and communicate with management, employees, vendors, and customers.
    • Be required to work irregular hours, varying work shifts schedules.
  • Work Environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to:
