Position Summary:
Responsible for basic prep work behind the bar, including such tasks as refilling ice bins,
restocking liquor, replacing kegs, cutting garnishes, and clearing away and washing empty
glasses. Assists bartenders to maintain service level standards. Assures that the lounge, bar
and bar storage areas are organized, stocked, clean and efficient
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area including lounge section.
- Refills soy bottles and stock dining set ups prior, during and after shift.
- Refills soda, ice teas, and waters upon the request of the customer or bartender.
- Refills prepared drink machines, as applicable.
- Makes and prepares lounge areas/bar garnishments.
- Keeps a supply of clean napkins, coasters, straws, stirrers, and other lounge area/bar
essentials.
- Removes dirty dishes, silverware, and any debris between courses and after the guest(s)
leave. Returns dirty dishes, silverware, trash, and glassware carefully to dishwashing
and/or bar area.
- Washes required glassware and bar tools, restocking them in correct areas of bar.
- Stock and organize bar and liquor storage/walk in area.
- Checks restrooms on a routine schedule to maintain cleanliness. Reports any restroom
problems to management immediately.
- Leaves lounge area/bar in clean condition prior to end of shift.
- Removes trash and breaks down boxes for the bar and restaurant.
- Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Previous bar and/or restaurant experience preferred.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older or as required by state law.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
