We are looking for an outstanding Head Pastry Chef to join the team of Sale e Pepe Mare, located within The Langham London.

This Head Pastry Chef opportunity represents an exciting new chapter for the iconic Sale e Pepe brand. A collaboration between two celebrated London institutions, creating a landmark destination for high-end coastal Italian dining.

As Head Pastry Chef, you will take full ownership of the pastry kitchen, shaping a refined dessert offering that blends Italian heritage with contemporary creativity. Your role as Head Pastry Chef will be central to the guest experience, from breakfast through to dinner service.

Working closely with the Executive Chef and senior leadership, you will lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing pastry team while setting the tone for excellence across the board.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, presentation, and flavour balance
  • A natural leader with a passion for developing teams
  • Strong organisational and operational capability
  • Full right to live and work in the UK

What’s in it for you as Head Pastry Chef

  • Performance-related bonus scheme
  • Private health insurance
  • 10 days fully paid sick leave
  • Complimentary meals while on duty
  • 50% staff discount when dining with family and friends
  • Clear career progression opportunities within a growing group
  • Study support scheme to invest in your development
  • Ongoing training and development programmes
  • A genuinely supportive, inclusive, and people-first environment

Your role as Head Pastry Chef

As Head Pastry Chef, you will:

  • Develop and execute a world-class pastry menu rooted in Italian tradition and seasonality

  • Oversee all pastry operations, including preparation, presentation, and food safety
  • Manage costs, suppliers, and ordering efficiently
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior pastry chefs
