Job Summary
We are seeking a pastry cook to join the team at our busy bakery! In this role, you will prepare a variety of breads and pastries. You will be responsible for setting up the bakery in the morning and prepping for the day ahead. The ideal candidate has previous bakery experience and a passion for creating delicious breads and pastries. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Open the bakery and prepare for the day ahead
• Clean and sanitize equipment and baking areas
• Bake a variety of breads, cakes, cookies and pastries
• Decorate pastries
• Assist in preparing custom orders
• Track, maintain, and order inventory as necessary
• Assist with savory options (sandwiches, salads, grab & go items)

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a baker, pastry cook, or in a similar role is preferred
• Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
• Knowledge of food safety practices
• Previous experience decorating cakes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Team player
• Available for early morning shifts
