Description
Job overview: Take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to members and guests according to set standards, courteously and efficiently. Understand the assigned function and menu offerings.

Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager and/or Supervisor

Qualifications:
Essential:
1) Minimum of 18 years of age.
2) Some dining service experience.
3) Ability to fluently communicate in English with members/guests, management and co-workers.
4) Ability to provide legible communication.
5) Ability to do basic arithmetic.
6) Basic beverage knowledge, including wine and spirits.
Desirable:
1) Some college education.
2) Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.
3) Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish.
4) Certification in alcohol awareness program.
5) Certification in C.P.R.
6) Knowledge of restaurant computer systems.

Skills:
Essential:
1) Ability to understand member/guests’ service needs and maintain service standards.
2) Ability to recognize and recall member’s names and preferences.
3) Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to guest within any given period of time.
4) Friendly, can do attitude.
5) Ability to focus attention on details.
6) Ability to access and input information into the POS system accurately.
7) Suggestively sell menu items, beverages and wines.
8) Ability to maintain good coordination and timing while serving others quickly.
9) Ability to perform job function with minimal supervision
10) Ability to work cohesively with co-worker as part of a team.
11) Have knowledge of the menu and ingredient.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, occasional kneeling, stooping and crouching. The position requires frequent lifting of products weighing up to 25 pounds.
