Cashier - Onda

Onda is looking to hire a Cashier.

Onda is Santa Monica Proper’s signature restaurant which marks a global collaboration with Jessica Koslow (Sqirl, Silverlake) and Gabriela Camara (Contramar, Cala). These award-winning, tastemaker chefs draw from California and Mexican flavors, techniques and ingredients in the open kitchen, at the bar, and on the table. The art-filled lobby lounge is an intriguing setting for light bites, a deep dive on small-batch mezcals, and boutique wines by the glass.

The Cashier is a friendly, energetic and dependable customer-oriented person, possessing a strong work ethic with a passion for food to represent Onda.

Job Overview
- Maintain the highest quality of customer service by anticipating the needs of each individual guest
- Answer customer questions concerning menu items, ingredients used and preparation methods
- Practice safe food handling procedures at all times
- Take accurate food orders and handle cash & credit card payments
- Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
- Keep assigned area fully stocked and clean
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
1+ years of experience as a cashier in a café or similar environment
- Strong communication skills
- Must possess a positive attitude
- Must be service-oriented and a team player
- Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include early mornings, weekends and holidays
