Assistant Front Office Manager


Description

Santa Monica Proper Hotel is looking for an experienced Assistant Front Office Manager. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room Santa Monica Proper hotel will feature interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool and 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Job Overview
- Assist with overseeing and supervising guest arrivals and departures
- Ensure guests’ needs and concerns are responded to in a timely, professional and friendly manner
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
- Establish a positive and effective working relationship with all departments in the hotel
- Ensure all necessary reports and forms are completed daily
- Monitor and control daily revenues and expenses by ensuring procedures are followed and proper controls are in place
- Evaluate team performance and take appropriate corrective action as needed to hold colleagues accountable

Qualifications
- Prior experience in luxury or lifestyle hotels preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of management or supervisory experience
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
