Description

Santa Monica Proper is looking for a Mini Bar Attendant. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room Santa Monica Proper Hotel will feature interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool and 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The Mini Bar Attendant will be an integral member of our Housekeeping Team and will ensure the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel. The Mini Bar Attendant will provide customers with quality service in a timely and friendly manner.

Job Overview
The Mini Bar Attendant cleans guest rooms, washes all laundry items, completes turndown service and stocks guest mini bars. The Mini Bar Attendant is responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and maintains the confidentiality and security of all guest property and rooms. The Mini Bar Attendant will maintain complete knowledge of: 

  • all items stocked in Mini Bars. 

  • and strictly abide by state liquor regulations. 

  • services and facilities (i.e., hours of operation, menus, price range). 

  • cleanliness, sanitation and organization of work areas; rectify any deficiencies. 

  • P.O.S. and manual systems. 

  • Generate and distribute charges for Mini Bar use in each guestroom. 

  • Inventory and requisition stock for carts. 

  • Process designated paperwork. 

  • Maintain security of designated keys. 


Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance in a hospitality environment preferred
- Proactive attitude with strong organizational and time management skills
- The ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent data
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Work flexible schedules and willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Collaborate with Colleagues cross-departmentally
- Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Work cohesively with Colleagues as part of a team

Education
High school diploma preferred.
