Food & Beverage Administrative Assistant


Description

Santa Monica Proper is looking for an enthusiastic part time Food & Beverage Administrative Assistant to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room Santa Monica Proper Hotel will feature interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool, 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and almost 7,000 square feet of ground floor retail.


Job Overview

 Focusing on F&B Reservations and special projects.
• Support the Food and Beverage Team and the Events team in all administrative functions, such as menus, billing, reports, correspondence, manuals, research, projects, etc. 
• Menu Adjustments – work with the Chef and Managers on menu changes. Maintain and print menus and signage for In Room Dining, Outlets and Events. Develop Ingredient Lists with Chef for menus and reference for allergies and dietary restrictions.
 Update POS (Micros) for new buttons when adjustments are made
• Administration – includes data entry (Inventory, Cost, Coding) as well as proofreading, answering phones & emails. Work with Chefs to input cost for purchases and monthly inventory
• Customer Service – Handle Receipt & Email Inquiries, operating supplies
• Purchasing – BOH, FOH and Office supplies
• Technology & Systems – Navigate through online analytics program, point of sale, reservation systems including, but not limited to: Avero, Micros, Pulse, Revinate, Yelp Biz, Resy, Open Table, InDesign, FourSquare, Square, and TripAdvisor

Qualifications
• Proficient in Word, Excel and InDesign
• Adaptable, quick learner
• Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Superior communication skills in order to work with all departments and other divisions
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Knowledge of food, spirits, wine, and beer knowledge
