Description

Santa Monica Proper is looking for an experienced and energetic Reservations Coordinator. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room Santa Monica Proper Hotel features interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool and 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The Reservations Coordinator will be an ambassador for our brand, where the engaging and anticipative service you provide over the telephone will make our guests feel valued and reflect the exceptional hotel experience they are about to enjoy. 

Job Overview:

  • Consistently offer exceptional, friendly and engaging service
  • Book room reservation requests, enter rooming lists, and update accurate information in the system
  • Book reservations for Calabra Rooftop and our Palma Lobby Lounge using online reservations systems
  • Coordinate guest’s pre-stay arrival needs with communication via email, and handling pre-stay needs such as transportation, restaurant reservations, etc.
  • Develop guest itineraries for pre-coordinated actions delivered to guest services and front desk
  • Send pre-arrival texts to guests 
  • Other duties as assigned by Manger

Qualifications:

  • Guest focused personality is essential; experience is an asset
  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
