In-Room Dining Coordinator


Description

Santa Monica Proper is looking for an In-Room Dining Coordinator. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room Santa Monica Proper Hotel features interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool and 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Responsibilities:

• Takes and inputs guests' orders.

• Ensure receipt of orders by kitchen are correct.

• Ensure pick-ups are completed using Tray away system.

• Delegate responsibilities relevant to server checklists, ensure checklists are completed before shift ends.

• In charge of organizing, restocking inventory and communicating inventory needs.

• Settles checks in the P.O.S. system according to Hotel specifications.

• Assists in the maintenance of the In-Room Dining area and equipment, including retrieval of all equipment throughout the hotel.

• Handles complaints or challenges with a positive attitude

• Setting up and ensuring all amenities are delivered prior to guest arrival, always in communication with front desk.

•Ensuring appropriate use of all communication systems in the hotel, especially with housekeeping.

• Logging all amenity and miscellaneous deliveries daily for payroll.

 

Requirements

• 1-year experience in a fast-paced environment

• Must have weekend availability (Friday-Sunday, AM & PM)

• Liquor, wine & beer and food knowledge

• Problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Proactive attitude with strong organizational skills

• Work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team

• Flexible schedule - willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, weekends and holidays


Education
High school diploma preferred.
